Sultan Qaboos University has received approval for six new strategic research
projects from His Majesty's Research Trust, including conservation and
sustainable development in a fragile arid mountain ecosystem, and an enhanced
oil recovery programme..
Intel,
the world's largest semiconductor manufacturer, said it canceled plans for
Tejas, the code name for Intel's successor to the Pentium 4 chip, which is
widely used in desktop personal computers. A second chip in development,
code-named Jayhawk and intended for use in server computers, has also been
canceled, said a New York Times report.

sixty members of the Dubai Women's Club are to undergo IT training from the
Humansoft Group. Group General Manager Nadeem Younis said women should not
ignore the importance of IT knowledge. Humansoft offers a wide range of IT
courses in the UAE.
